Katha . . . a pure offering

Katha . . . a pure offering

About The Name Kathá Soma
In the Tibetan tradition, a Katha is a white greeting or offering scarf (a gift).  One shows respect by giving a Katha. The Katha represents the sincerity of ones offering without negative thoughts or motives in mind.

Sincerity is an openness of heart.

The meaning of Soma refers to the body. . . and more specifically the body as distinguished from the mind. Blended together the Kathá Soma brand translates to a sincere offering for the body, without negative thoughts or motives.

Sincerity is honesty of mind.

The soil in which the meditative mind can begin is the soil of everyday life,
the strife, the pain, and the fleeting joy.
It must begin there, and bring order, and from there move endlessly.

To meditate does not mean to fight with a problem.
To meditate means to observe.
Your smile proves it.
It proves that you are being gentle with yourself,
that the sun of awareness is shining in you,
that you have control of your situation.
You are yourself, and you have acquired some peace.

When you become aware of silence, immediately there is that state of inner still alertness. You are present. You have stepped out of thousands of years of collective human conditioning.

Kátha Soma Therapeutics Embrace Two Aspects of Healthcare:
Supportive Care and Integrative Medicine

Integrative Medicine is healing oriented medicine that incorporates the whole person body, mind, and spirit. Integrative medicine practitioners blend conventional medicine such as surgery and prescription medications (body) with complimentary therapies such as acupuncture, botanical medicine, mediation & yoga (mind/spirit).

Supportive Care is given to address the quality of life for people who are living with a chronic or life-threatening disease, such as cancer, diabetes, lupus, heart disease or Parkinson’s disease. The goal of supportive care is to prevent or treat as early as possible the symptoms of a disease, side effects caused by treatment of a disease, and address the emotional, social, and spiritual issues related to a disease or its treatment. Supportive Care is also called comfort care, palliative care, cancer supportive care and symptom management.
